Leonardo scored his first goal for Paris Saint-Germain in their 2-1 win over Lille on Sunday, ending a seven-game scoreless run.
The Brazilian forward had been struggling to find the back of the net for his new club, but he finally broke that dry spell with a powerful header from outside the box in the 64th minute.
The goal was just one part of PSG's impressive performance against Lille, who were looking to continue their recent form and make up some ground in the French league table.
However, it was PSG who took control of the game early on, with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe combining well down the left wing before the former crossed for Leonardo to head home.
Despite being behind, Lille fought hard and created several chances of their own, including a close-range effort from Florian Thauvin that was blocked by Keylor Navas.
In the end, however, it was PSG who held on to secure all three points and keep pace with leaders Nice, who beat Strasbourg 2-1 earlier in the day.
For Leonardo, it was a much-needed breakthrough after months of frustration. He has been heavily linked with moves away from PSG in the past, but he is now showing why he was such a key player for Brazil at the World Cup last year.
With his goal, he also moved level with Edinson Cavani as PSG's joint-top scorer this season, with 15 goals between them. But while he may have found the net, it will be important for him to build on this performance if he wants to continue his good form and help PSG challenge for the title.
