Monaco forward Ben Yedder has confirmed that he will be staying with the club for the long-term, with his contract set to run until 2026.
The French striker, who joined Monaco from Bordeaux in 2019, is currently one of the club's top performers and has helped them secure a place in the Champions League this season.
Yedder's long-range strike against Paris Saint-Germain in November was particularly impressive, as he curled a shot into the top corner from just outside the box.
With his contract set to expire at the end of next year, many were wondering whether he would move on to bigger and better things, but Yedder has now put those concerns to rest by committing himself to the club.
"I am very happy to have signed a new contract," Yedder said in a statement released by Monaco. "I want to stay here for a long time and I hope we can achieve our goals together."
For Yedder, it's all about playing in a favorable team environment and being part of a squad that is capable of competing at the highest level.
"We have a great coach and a group of players who work hard every day," he added. "We are always looking for ways to improve and we want to win titles."
Yedder's commitment to Monaco comes after a difficult period for the club, which struggled last season due to financial difficulties.
However, under new management, Monaco has made progress this season and has already secured their place in the Champions League.
With Yedder and other key players still committed to the club, there is plenty of optimism for the future at Monaco.
