Arsenal secured their second spot in the Premier League table after securing a convincing victory over Brighton on Sunday. The Gunners were in fine form throughout the game, dominating possession and creating numerous chances to score.
The first half was a dominant display from Arsenal, who took control of the match early on. They created several opportunities through their attacking players, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Martin Odegaard. However, it was Arsenal's goalkeeping that kept them in the game as they failed to convert any of their early chances.
However, the Gunners came out stronger in the second half and started to impose themselves on the game. They continued to create chances, but it was Brighton goalkeeper Ross Buxton who saved the day for his side by making some excellent saves to keep the scoreline at 1-0.
Despite this, Arsenal continued to push forward and create more chances. Their persistence paid off when Gabriel Martinelli scored the winner in the 86th minute. The Brazilian midfielder finished off a slick move between himself and Aubameyang, slotting home from close range.
The win means that Arsenal have now won four games in a row and moved into second place in the Premier League table. They will be hoping to maintain their momentum against teams like Manchester United and Liverpool in the coming weeks.
