Borussia Mönchengladbach has secured their first win since suffering five consecutive defeats with a thrilling victory over TSG Hoffenheim on Sunday.
The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating numerous opportunities to score. However, it was the visitors who were able to take the lead early on through a goal from substitute Robert Huth.
Mönchengladbach responded well and levelled the game just before half-time through a goal from Christian Pulisic. The German forward had been outstanding throughout the match and his efforts paid off when he headed home a cross from Timo Werner.
Hoffenheim then came close to equalising in the second half, but Mönchengladbach held firm and secured the three points with a late goal from Benjamin Gevorgyan.
The victory is a huge boost for the team, who have struggled recently and have not won a league match since November. It also marks a return to winning ways for head coach Lucien Favre, who took charge at the end of last season after Guido Westerwelle left the club.
For Mönchengladbach, this result is a significant step forward in their campaign and will give them renewed confidence going into the remaining games of the season. They now face a tough task against Schalke in their next match, but with this victory behind them, they should be able to keep pushing for a top-four finish.
