Bayern Munich have won their fifth consecutive Bundesliga game and kept a clean sheet against RB Leipzig on Saturday. The German giants dominated the first half with goals from Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland, who scored his fourth goal for the club.
Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a header after a corner kick from Bayern's captain Manuel Neuer. He doubled the lead three minutes later when he headed home a cross from Joshua Kimmich to make it 2-0 at halftime.
Haaland completed his hat-trick in the second half, scoring twice within five minutes. First, he volleyed home a free-kick from the left side of the box, before sliding past goalkeeper Bernd Leno to make it 3-0.
Leipzig struggled to find any rhythm in the final third, and Bayern were able to maintain their dominance throughout the game. They finished the match with a 4-0 win, their largest victory since beating Dortmund 5-0 back in September 2019.
The win means that Bayern now sit top of the table, just one point ahead of Borussia Dortmund, who defeated Freiburg 2-1 earlier in the day. It was also a good result for Haaland, who has been struggling to find his form this season. The Norwegian striker has only managed two goals in six league games, but he will be hoping to bounce back with another strong performance in the coming weeks.
